No matter how many walls you build,
No matter how many hurdles you create,
No matter how much disparity you bring,
No matter how much hatred you add on,
To everyone’s daily life with your actions,
No matter how much chaos you create,
No matter what you do with your power,
Those who needs to seek love and happiness,
They will seek it no matter what!

Why can’t there be no borders and welcome all?

The struggle to survive,
Humans to live a decent life,
Let it be natural calamity,
Or even man made atrocities,
Humans are like cockroaches,
Climbing the walls to escape,
Get to the other side of the wall,
In the hope of a better life,
Humans fighting with humans,
To survive, peacefully with family,
Aren’t we all taking refuge here,
Because no one in reality owns,
When we don’t own anything here,
Then how can we build walls to stop?
Who are we to stop others from living?
We are all refugees, stop thinking great about self,
For some a better chance and others don’t,
Every life matters and everyone has same rights,
Then why we let our own race struggle?
Why there’s a difference between people?
Why can’t there be no borders and welcome all?

Thought went through my mind !

Whenever I looked up to these,
It drew my mind to those horizons,
Many times, I envied birds for their freedom,
But then I felt our minds too have those,
I was reading a story of an activist,
Thought went through my mind,
Humans made internet which has no boundaries,
No Visa, no papers needed to reach millions,
Yet, if you look we are trapped in a box,
Looking through the windows, screens, devices,
We always seek for that freedom of the ultimate,
To fly, to reach, to touch and feel the oneness!

Even I can fly..!

Before budding,

and during flowering,

Many transitions,

phases and emotions

processing through.

After flowering,

while withering,

petals falling with,

 fear of heights,

many emotions,

wrapped in mind,

gulping humiliation,

mental torture,

fear of ambiguity,

the discomfort coats

of life.

The time came,

from kneeling I stood up

threw away the coat,

of fear and discomfort,

didn’t let worry to reside in,

yet the freedom is far away,

but the very thought of it,

brings the sight of joy,

and feel the pain of kayak,

yet at the end of it,

Even I can fly,

Spreading my wings high.

“You wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weighs you down.”

Today was indeed a special day in my life. In the beginning when I was going for a birthday party event, my thoughts were that I will be meeting many new people from Bay Area.

When I reached at the event and heard the stories from these women who had gathered to wish the birthday girl, I was totally amazed and it took me to think.

Who says women is weak? Who? I rather witnessed today the power and courage that these women have and they are real. Women can move the mountains if they have the confidence and those who don’t have the confidence its not about their weakness… in fact its the values and mythological aspects that they have been forced upon when they are born.

Girls should be like this… an ideological figure they have made in Ramayana and every girl who is born has to be like Sita (bear all the pains, sacrifice your life for your husband and after all still if husband treats you bad or doubts on your sincerity then he is right) 🙂 Yes, when the foundation is laid out like this, how can any women build a castle of hers with free of thoughts and courage?

“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” ~ Anais Nin

I believe every woman if decides she can be worse than the Shiva’s third eye (Shiva is often depicted with a third eye, with which he burned Desire to ashes – called “Tryambakam” in Sanskrit).

It’s just that don’t test her patience because she is patient, loving, caring which makes her first a human to care and respond accordingly. But some people take advantage of this and when the patience breaks even the people gets shattered to see that person in that same women.

I remember reading this poetry in grade 7th written by Indian poet: Maithili Sharan Gupt

“abla nari teri yehi kahani, aanchal mein hai dudh aur ankhon mein pani!!”

(Women is considered as the weaker sex even though, yet she is a mother and a sister too – here motherhood and sisterhood – more of love and sympathy that women carries in her eyes is what depicted).

I mean this was written somewhere in 1800s and when you look at it in this 25th century what has changed? I think a women’s patience and sacrifice is taken as her weakness and hence people try to hurt her more.

I think every individual MUST have a purpose in life irrespective of what is her role (daughter, sister, girlfriend, wife, mother, mother-in law, grandmother). When individuals have their purpose in life then they know how to fulfill that purpose in life. They will make sure whats so ever problems come in their way it will be taken as a challenge and they will make it through their way.

The mistake that we do is – we don’t speak about how we felt or feel about something that someone must have said or done to us. If you express about the hurt or disrespect behavior then the person should not repeat and if they do then we should stand up for ourselves and for our self-respect.

I am a true believer, that you come in this world alone and you leave this world alone too. Whom you meet and be around with as family and friends are part of your journey while you are here. So, for anything that goes wrong with me, I need to be responsible of it completely. I am the one who must know where it hurts and how to take care of it. No other individual can make decision for you because every individual is different in their own way.

Todays women is powerful and can bring that change in this world to make it a better place – a place where one can live with happiness and without any indifferences of religion, caste, color or creed.

I would like to end this post by sharing few lines from the poem Shakti aur Kshama (Strength and Mercy) written by an India poet: Ramdhari Singh Dinkar:

“Atyachar sahan karne ka, Kufal yahi hota hai
Paurush ka aatank manuj, Komal hokar khota hai”

(This is the consequence, Of tolerating atrocities, The awe of machismo is lost, When one’s gentle and kindly)

Change can only come when WE make that decision… it will never happen automatically – Wake Up! Stand Up! You also have the right to live freely 🙂

Yes, I am caged with boundaries to fly

I am caged and they say I am free
I bear it for loved ones sake
I bear with the hope things will change
I fear loved ones will suffer
I fear not to trouble others
They say am goddess yet no power
They say am the root for giving life
But, Truth is am caged
In the name of love, in the name of emotions
I am caged!
They saw the way I took off flying high
It made them to fall in love with thy
Caught and caged me, only to see me sly
I care, I worry and so I relay hoping for dawn
Yes, I am caged with boundaries to fly
I am caged yet they want me to smile!!
