Been a busy week yes first with finishing tasks so that I can get away with my holiday trip to sin city 😉

This was a long weekend for me after Thanks giving and driving was an awesome experience for me to know the streets of America!
Sin city is also called as Las Vegas or vice a versa 😀 but yet everyone tends to visit this place. I feel any one who is away from sin also may get into the pool of sin hahaha kidding but yes, certain things as an experience is not bad but which one is for you to decide 😉

I was stunned with nature’s creation one of the greatest wonder – Grand Canyon. I remember when I used to study Geology, things were so crystal clear when my professors Dr Sarkar and Pardeshi Sir used to teach me that I always scored 100% and looking at this they always inspired me to specialize in Geology though I took the magic world of Chemistry but they always told me that you will go to California to do more study on rocks if you take Geology as your main subject!


All those layers and precipitation of rocks and water inside the sedimentary rocks brought my memories back yet the same feeling of getting the solace when I looked at those real wonder of Mother Nature. I am going to add pictures which I took there.
Let’s see how much justice my camera did 😉

Being in Arizona not only made me feel good but it reminded me my home in Toronto 😀 yes!!! That was my best moment!!!

Driving back to home is another pleasure as no matter where you go you feel at home only at home 😉

Well, my friends might be thinking what happened after the Canada day…;) ! Well it was US Independence Day and so I get to take off to San Diego.

My friend from Toronto often visits this place and he always told me that’s like a paradise and now I know why he says so …:D

It was a very tiring event everyday, still it was much relaxing. Long drives, music n masti (fun), and company of loved ones …what else you need 😉

Last week things were going on busy with some or the other task. I didn’t know until Thursday evening that we are going to Yosemite and we are going to stay there for 2 days. I had to work long hours to leave work early. I had a good team lunch on Friday, since a new person has joined our team. After lot of discussion and consideration we went to this Afghani Restaurant which is famous for its authentic food and good customer service. We really had good time with some good discussions around…different countries, currencies…US economy, India, China and above all company shares etc. We also decided this kind of event should be more often as this is like a team building event ;)! After lunch I rushed home and packed some stuff and rushed to pick other friends who were going to join us.

Journey was cool…when you have friends around to talk and have fun. Though traffic was hectic still we reached late and another group of friends were waiting there and I have to mention that these were the ones who actually made this trip a success. We went to the Glacier’s point and believe me by the time we reached here it was getting dark as the drive is so long…but to my surprise watching nature in moon light was my first and utmost experience.

Really, this place can be called another God’s own place. I just loved the nature, the beauty…with which its kept intact! I have heard from grannies how it was all fresh and real in there days and now I proudly feel we also have something if not all…real that we can boast of 😀

Night was a bit tiring…when we went to our hotel rooms I just remembered London Hotels where the interiors were British kind, even the posters were that of ancient English women dressed up in all her long big gowns flowing all over the floor.

One thing I forgot to mention…the cell phones don’t work here. So if you need to contact your friend who is in the neighboring barn cottage you have to drive / walk down till there and so we got our wake-up call with a knock on the door. When we asked who’s this…we were told ‘room service’ hahaha it was funny when we saw our friend coming in and asking us to get ready and rush for breakfast to there cottage since the kitchen was there and they did a nice job by preparing breakfast for all.

Its been long since I had such trips …this reminds me of my school days when we used to go for camping as scouts and guides and we used to have all kinds of fun!

I was told its going to be very cold however, learning from past experience I had my shorts and t-shirt and believe me it was much relief as it was getting hot and hiking was already in the agenda. We had a good near by river bath…where it was flowing water with lots of turbulence in between and if you try to swim against it …it will take more time to move 5 minutes distance from where you are. Quite an interesting event …I took lots of pictures…and this red dragon fly caught my eyes and I was just following this one.

In the middle of all this fun we forgot that its past lunch time – 3 p.m. We reached a place where we could park and this buddy of ours was smart enough to pick a spot some where inside the bushes hidden with pine trees the benches where we could have our lunch. It seemed very private and no one to disturb. We had a good lunch as everyone was hungry and had a good relaxation time. By now, when we are planning for further places to go we are half sleep.

I had a good nap in the car while going around. When I woke up I was desperate for a coffee…but to my bad luck there were none! I got cold coffee, cappuccino but none of them were hot. I remembered my Korea trip where I had struggled to get a simple regular coffee…and I had to walk miles and miles when I saw Starbucks but not to get a coffee instead they gave me cold cappuccino.

Still life is beautiful…had some cool photography by the time it was sun set and to my surprising the cliffs were hiding the setting sun behind them and hence I couldn’t get a glance of sun-set.
