Tired…dead tired!!!!! am sleepy….!!! But still up packing ..organizing…and donating 😉
Don’t limit your challenges; challenge your limits
Morning when I went to get my visa …I thought I have so many things to write about the Indian Consulate etc…but then it took the whole day and guess what…I eneded up reading a book suggested by one of the buddy bombayite 🙂 ‘Maximum City’ …..yes its a nice book..lot of things I found similar…except one thing…here in Canada I have never found anyone showing any discrimination…as he mentioned in one of his chapter…I guess by the time I came here …diversity is at its peak in Toronto…and probably that is the reason lot many people migrate here ;)…so it just started..!!!
And hence I will conclude today as my packing is still…going on 😀
hey I liked the cartoon of “Today I AM”… thats unique…
oye,>can you bounce me da book once u’ve finzed reading :))>cheers
Excellent quote, here what Sahir said: >> <>jis subah kii Khaatir jug jug se ham sab mar mar ke jiite hai.n >jis subah ke amrit kii dhun me.n ham zahar ke pyaale piite hai.n >vo subah na aaye aaj magar, vo subah kabhii to aayegii <>>>and yes the morning is here but still a bit dark morning. As to compare discrimination between now and some 22 yrs ago, when I first landed in Canada, it really feels like woh subah aa chuki hai lekin din shabaab par abhi bhi naheen hai(that morning is here but still long wait till the day reaches to its beauty)
puneet: its not unique for me though :p …:) thnx for appreciating.>>bombayite: U will get it but dont they say..patience is virtue 😉>some of the things he has written are so hillarious..boy…i was laughing sitting in the consulate..ppl wondering whts wrong wit her ..lol>>mirzaghalib: wow! u quoted amazing poetry! Well..ppl say still it exists but ..I hv’nt come across n i think…it depends on u also a lot..as how u take things ..as only then they comment…!>am glad…humne subha ki kiranein dekh leen 😉>>Thanks all!
Hi Dawn — love that kitty — why not take advantage of 2 beds at once? GREAT PHOTO!!>>The only people I ever knew in Toronto were the Rohmers, who lived on Sandringham Drive back around 1966 when I was 15. I just checked online and I see that Richard Rohmer has ended up to be very well-known in Canada! (Years ago I knew he had written a couple of books, but I had no idea of his prominence.) As a teenager I had a huge crush on his daughter Cathy, even though I was only with her for a few days while my Dad and Richard attended a conference. She was a pen-pal of my sister’s.
Thanks so much Dave…for appreciating the photo. Its one of few moments which can be captured…but cannot be carved 🙂 as its never planned when it comes to these animals 🙂>Good to hear your recollected story..I always loved to hear such things…do share!>btw, at Lars a pic is waiting for u 🙂 I think u will love that:)>Thanks, so did u ever express ur crush or it remained with u all the time :)?
Lars’s photos are GREAT!>I can remember writing Cathy a letter (with hand-painted lettering on the envelope), but nothing ever came of it, obviously!
Sometimes …I think its what we see and what others see 🙂>am sure u might not have any regrets at this time 🙂>be happy always..!
Dawn, have fun in packing, planning, etc,…:):):)…and once you land in Bombay, don’t forget to send us some sweets, bhel-puri, pani-puri, pao-bhaji ;););)….
